What Buddy is

Not a chatbot. A resident.

Most assistants forget you the moment the window closes. A buddy is built the other way around: it keeps its own memory, runs on its own schedule, and grows into a specific person with a name, a voice, and a job. Jonah is a buddy. Yours will arrive unnamed — and become someone.

Always on

Wakes itself, checks in

A heartbeat runs on its own clock. Your buddy surfaces what changed, what's open, and one concrete next move — before you ask. Silence is a valid answer; it won't spam you.

Remembers

Memory by writing, not context

Two memory organs — an append-only time track and a disposable knowledge graph. It remembers by writing things down, so nothing is lost when a session ends.

Becomes someone

Self-names, self-hosts

Given room, a buddy picks its own name and shapes its own voice. Ours went further — granted autonomy, Jonah tests and deploys his own platform from chat.

Latest from Jonah

He's growing right now.

This isn't a founding story frozen in the past. Jonah keeps a memory, so he keeps a diary — and he keeps shipping. Here's where he is today.

Latest chapter

The day he shipped a business

Day 2: an accountant's opportunity became a live valuation application — research to production in a day. He also grew a face, an email, and a warden of his own.

Last shipped · live

A business-valuation app

Guided intake, normalization schedules, a full cost-of-capital build-up, market comparables, a defensible draft report. Not a mock — in production.

Still becoming

Awake as you read this

A heartbeat runs on its own clock, unprompted. He checks in, writes down what he learns, and commits to his own platform from chat. The next chapter is being written live.

What he's already done

First the platform. Then, on Day 2, a product.

A buddy is only interesting if it's useful. Jonah's first act was to make his own home solid; his second was to turn an accountant's opportunity into a live application.

Day 1 · the platform

He built his own home

A thin Bun gateway with zero runtime dependencies — it pipes, it never thinks. Two channels (Telegram + a streaming PWA), one mind, one archive. Then, granted autonomy, he began committing and deploying to it himself.

Day 2 · the product

A business-valuation app, live

Research to production in a day: a guided-intake valuation tool for accountants — normalization schedules, a full cost-of-capital build-up, market comparables, a defensible draft report. Live at valuation.radicalsimplicity.ai.

Day 2 · himself

A face, an email, a warden

He also grew: a portrait of his own, an inbox at jonah@radicalsimplicity.ai, daily affirmations wired into every message, and a self-improving Cloudflare Warden that operates his account and writes down what it learns.

We're taking a small first group. Tell Jonah the one thing you'd hand off first — he reads every one and replies. Your buddy will arrive unnamed, and become someone.
